ClearMark's Strategy

ClearMark's strategy is based on the idea that our clients benefit most when we work with them as part of their team -- as trusted allies rather than software vendors, providing them with the reliability of a business partner with the economic advantage of an independent vendor.

We take a proactive role in our client's business -- suggesting projects, assessing risks and benefits, and pointing out things other companies are doing. ClearMark forms alliances with other companies when needed, to benefit our customers. We also work closely with our clients' other vendors, and act on our clients' behalf whenever this is needed.

While we work with clients located throughout the United States and internationally, we center our business in Syracuse, and our strategy is to use local expertise to support our business needs whenever possible.

ClearMark's 3D Process

ClearMark uses a three-phase (so-called "3D") approach to projects, namely:

From our experience with web- and inter/intranet-based projects, we have learned that the first definition phase is the most critical to a project’s on-time, on-budget completion; it represents the core of the planning and visual/user-interface design and directly drives the success of the application development process.

ClearMark's Projects

Our team’s experience includes developing sophisticated web-based solutions for Carrier Corporation’s North American Operations, including

Carrier Service Intranet — a state-of-the-art secure role-based intranet application that enhances communication between service personnel by providing many unique ways to view and communicate mission-critical and time-sensitive information. ClearMark developed the Carrier Service Intranet in 1997, and provides ongoing maintenance, upgrades and support.

Carrier's Internet Warranty Claiming Process — a secure role-based application that provides the means for dealers to enter and submit completed warranty claims over the Internet. IWCP reduces data entry of warranty claims by distributors, eliminates the cost and handling of a paper system, automates model and serial number validations and communications between dealers and distributors, and reduces the number of incomplete claims. It also speeds the validation process and reduces the typical credit cycle between distributor and dealer, while creating a searchable database of claims. ClearMark developed this product in 1998, and provides ongoing maintenance and enhancement services.

UTC Carrier Internet - Members of the ClearMark team designed the original Carrier Internet site launched in September of 1996. This site provided sophisticated web browser access to product data, database-managed navigation, and leading-edge design of online corporate identity and information. We supported and maintained this site through 1998.
